UT considers giving 14 year olds input in their custody

The UT Senate passed a bill giving 14 year old children a say in their custody. Current law gives such input to 16 year olds. The bill has yet to be considered by the House.

IL lags behind in Child Support calculation

Unlike most other states IL does not consider the custodial parent's income when determining child support. Additionally, IL does not allow for any reduction in the child support amount based on the amount of time that the child spends with the non-custodial parent. FL and GA take both of these factors in consideration.
